Brighton’s Mammothfest came back in 2014 with a meteoric boom, and in recognition of this, they’ve been rewarded with a nomination in this years highly esteemed Festival Awards.
So, what are the Festival Awards?
The Festival Awards is an opportunity to recognise the hard work, vision and creativity of the festival industry, through fan voting and judging panels made up of experts.
Since its launch, it has grown into a major event at The Roundhouse in London, giving the industry chance to let its hair down and celebrate the achievements of the past year.
With a gourmet dinner, gala awards ceremony and after-show party, it attracts over 1,000 of the most influential people in the business. Over half a million fan votes were cast last year, making it the benchmark by which festival-goers rate their experiences, and a coveted prize for organisers. Along with its sister events, the UK Festival Conference and the European Festival Awards, the UK Festival Awards is owned and produced by Festival Awards Ltd., an independent company founded in the UK.
If you do vote – you are in with a chance to win 2 x VIP tickets to every festival that wins, regardless of who you vote for… worth it for 5 seconds of your time, right?
Mammothfest, back in 2014 after a rise from the ice-age (a two year break after organiser Steve Dickson refused to be trampled by finances) issued the following statement.

Thank you tons in advance – after an amazing comeback year for the festival back in August with Savage Messiah, Martyr Defiled, Ingested, Meta-Stasis and tons more, winning this would be simply MAMMOTH!
All the best,
The Mammothfest Crew”
Of course to be wholly transparent, I work for this festival, but you are totally at liberty to vote for all/any festival you choose! (Mammothfest was bloody brilliant though, right?)
P.s. – Don’t forget Bloodstock Festival and Sonisphere..because AND WHAT. We love them, that’s why.
P.P.S. – We’d love to say vote for UK Tech Fest too, AND Temples Festival AND Damnation Festival goddamnit! But they aren’t listed *sob*
