MAMMOTHFEST adds final bands and completes 2014 lineup!

MAMMOTHFEST adds final bands and completes 2014 lineup!

The awaited final line up for Brighton’s Mammothfest has been confirmed – this immense event is giving headbangers more metal for their money, with the additional confirmation of two extra bands.

Originally intended as a 22 band line up, instead 24 bands will smash the stage at The Green Door Store, Brighton on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st August.

Organiser Steve Dickson comments:

“The response to Mammothfest’s return this year has been literally overwhelming – from bands, metal fans and press alike. We can’t thank UK metal enough for it’s support – but one way we could was to offer more bands for the existing ticket cost, in order to provide the best possible line up we can”

Joining Savage Messiah, Martyr Defiled, Ingested, Meta-stasis, Mask Of Judas, Collapse and the rest will be two additional special guests. Gore obsessed old school death metal Londoners Basement Torture Killings are going to provide an extra injection of blast-your-brains-out grind. Described by Metal Hammer as ‘death metal perversity in knitted cardigans and tweed’, BTK are quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most depraved bands around. Exist Immortal, also from London, join the tech contingent, and promise to bring everything they have into the maelstrom with catchy melodies, soaring epic vocals, technical riffing and all out groove.

The six other bands announced are Core of Io, Exile The Titan, Stone Circle, Taken By The Tide, Headface and Hole In The Sky – bands who represent the wealth of metal talent that Brighton and the south have to offer on a local level, additions that are massively important to Mammothfest as part of it’s community and scene focused ethos.

The festival is promoting a string of warm up shows in venues around the south featuring bands from its line up and beyond. These include a partnership with friends UK Tech Fest, who are working with Mammothfest to bring No Consequence, Felix Martin, Drewsif Stalin’s Musical Endeavours, DispersE, Friend For A Foe, Aeolist, Core of Io, Stone Circle, Valis Ablaze and Blind Eye Fury to an epic all day event at Mammothfest’s venue, The Green Door Store, on Sunday 6th July. Other shows will feature the likes of Mask Of Judas, Meta-stasis, Collisions and No Sin Evades His Gaze amongst others.

Steve Dickson:

“We are ecstatic about our partnership with UK Tech Fest on the 6th July event. Those guys are incredible at what they do, and are a total pleasure to work alongside. All the warm up shows are going to be great – and a huge part of what we wanted to do in terms of community, working with local venues and promoters to give bands more opportunities to play shows and build their audience”

Mammothfest is also pleased to announce partnerships with Zilla Cabs, North Custom Drums and Double Slit Guitars, who will all be providing backline for the event – making the event’s stage production sound as massive as possible.

Tickets are now on sale at £18 for the weekend, with day tickets and group passes also available – but some mammoth merch deals are on offer combining weekend tickets with Mammothfest T-shirts and Plectrums for just £20, and several other combinations offered at an exclusive price for a short time only, available at
